January Racing Update

Being in the middle of a nice Canadian winter we have had numerous athletes traveling around the world looking for warmer weather to start off the 2008 race season, here are some of the recent results:

The Goofy: For those of you who don’t know the Goofy is a combination of a half marathon on Sat and then a full marathon on Sunday run around Disney World, congratulations to both Caryl and Jen who successfully completed both!

The Bermuda Triangle: This is a 3 day running event in Bermuda, combining a 1mile run on Friday, a 10km run on Sat and a half marathon or marathon on Sunday. Congratulations to Gilles, Joanne, Cathie and Bob

South Africa 70.3: Tim and Jillian Seddon traveled to South Africa for the Half Ironman with Jillian successfully completing her first Half and Tim having a great race to finish in just over 5hours on a very tough course and finishing 6th in his age group and qualifying for 70.3 World Championships

Hong Kong Half Marathon: Pat Lawlor had a solid race at the end of a big week of training as he prepares for Ironman China

NYC Half Marathon: Lowell Keith had a PB (1:20) in his half marathon in New York

Miami Marathon: Val Renn and Kate Lloyd both had PB’s finishing together in 3:28 at the Miami marathon!
