Ironman Hawaii Update

Ironman Hawaii was 2 weeks ago and conditions were a bit more challenging than they have been in the last couple of years, this was probably the windiest day since 2004, it still wasn’t super windy but 10-15min slower on the bike than the last few years. The run was good however as it got cloudy in the second half so it wasn’t as hot as it could have been.

We had some great performances on the day

Tim Rowley – 9:57 a new Ironman PB time, 20min faster than last year on a day that was 10-15min slower
Jody Sanderson – 9:45 a PB in Hawaii (this was Jody’s 6th time racing Hawaii)
Linnea Humphrey – 12th in her age group and ran a Boston qualifying marathon!
Matt Freeman – First race in Hawaii !
Denis Sacks – First race in Hawaii!
Sylvie Dansereau – A solid day in the Pro’s womens race, a new Hawaii PB and a great result 7 weeks after IMC
Nigel – An ok day, decent swim, solid bike but nutritional issues caught up to me and my run was a struggle
