Sunday marked the start of the 2005 Subaru Triathlon Series with Victoria’s Duathlon (formally the Brick) in Waterloo. The conditions where overcast, cool (or cold depending on your point of view!) with the threat of rain, which never did really materialize thankfully!
Four NRG PT athletes where on the start line along with Head Coach Nigel Gray. Joe Cosentino and Jesse Ryan both had huge improvements over their previous races here, with Jesse going 90sec faster than last year on a course that had 2km more running and Joe taking off a massive 5min, on the longer course, than he had in his previous race here 2 years ago!
There were also a few podium finishes with Jody Sanderson showing good recovery from Ironman Arizona, taking the win in the mens 30-34 category and Sylvie Dansereau finishing second in her age group! Head Coach Nigel Gray continued his streak of good races in Waterloo, taking home his 3rd win in a row and sixth in total on the course.
